Thanks all for the ideas, we will be going on Friday and we are staying at an AI :( so I really wanted to spend the one or two meals that we eat out at the best in town, we tried to go to Kinta last time we went but only found the parking lot and could not find the resturant....:D we finally found it and it was closed that day. this time we will only eat at a few. and I suspect Kinta may get tried.
Parking lot?

I went to Kondessa on their opening night Tuesday. Food was very tasty. I don't think it will become one of my very favourites, but it is very close to my house so will probably eat there frequently regardless. The decor is very nice and I love the colour scheme (purple, hot pink and aqua). It's al fresco and was a bit chilly that evening. We laughed ourselves silly when something fell from the tree and landed in my niece's glass. I thought her ice cubes had exploded b/c thre was water all over the table top.

I like ALL the places that have been mentioned, Casa Denis (mmmm mango margaritas) ,Guido's, Kinta, La Chef & Especias would be near the top for sure. I'd even do less "fancy" places like Ernesto's, but after serious consideration, if I had to eat at only ONE Cozumel restaurant while I was there, (heaven forbid!), I would vote for Rock-n-Java.

To begin with, the food is excellent, and the menu is so widely varried that you would never have to eat the same thing twice on a 10 day vacation...and that's eating there breakfast, lunch and dinner. From heathy to "there goes the diet", from Mexican & American cuisine to Thai, it's all on the menu.

Not to mention Lisa's wonderful desserts! The best in town!

I went to La Choza 6 nights in a row in November, and ate the same thing. My name is Selo, I have OCD and I love it!

No one's mentioned Otates? My go to place! Kinta is wonderful but I think of it for a special occasions ($$) Guidos is good too, but more expensive. Face it - you can't eat at the same place every night in Coz... too much variety to ignore.

Has anyone mentioned El Pique. We like it better than Otates. Favorite taco places can sturr up an endless debate!

Hmm, turns out the "what's your favorite restaurant?" question gets as many answers as the "what's your favorite dive site?" question gets :D

We enjoyed La Parilla on 30th. Just had a good feel about the place, plus the prices were fair and the food was quite good. I had the chile rellenos and man it was delicious.
Question for everyone who has been to Kinta. What is good on their menu and what is their signature dish? When I was returning our vw to isis, saw the place, but didn't get a chance to eat there. Instead grabbed me a quick selection of pastries at Zermatt.
