Common Bill.. It's [always] a rush [here] riding! You can borrow mine next time your on the Island..

Joking aside, if you are an absent minded or less than vigilant driver with no 2-wheel experience and really want to rent a vehicle, you would be well advised to go with 4 wheels, bumpers and seat belts, and then not only opt-in for insurance, but VERIFY they really have it.

So far, I've only had 2 some-what close calls on my scooter. If I hadn't been paying attention, it could have ended in a wreck, rather than my finger in the air and a few choice words..

You're on as long as you have a dirt moped.

Bad man flipping people off:D
David, how is the new underwater scooter?

This event three years ago was unfortunate, as are all accidents. But, at the end of the day, it's not about mopeds; it's about the possible consequences of attempting anything that's beyond one's experience level and/or abilities. Caveat emptor.
I wouldn't say that, exactly. I attempted a Photoshop edit the other day that was way beyond my experience level and ability, and all I ended up with was a crummy looking picture, not a busted head. :D

My Spanish isn't great so I must convey my displeasure at almost being t-boned or blown over a hood in a way universally understood..... Well, at least until they have air conditioning, cable TV, Internet and day diving passes for inmates in the local lockup. ;)

As for the DPV - Scooter... Nothing like going from Del Mar Aquatics to the smaller pier (at the international pier) in a matter of minutes while slinging an extra 40 and spears.. Wide open it will wear your trigger / grip hand out fairly quick if you don't offset the torque with the left hand. On normal cruise it's not a problem and has more range than I have air.. Looking forward to strapping on the doubles and seeing how far I can go tomorrow..

I thot it was a good reminder. This is my request #1 for my daughter's cruise to Coz.
