The Mrs. and I got our SSI OW cert on vacation and are now looking for an SSI LDS for cert classes and gear.
Anyone have any experience with either Dive West in Dallas or Crazy Scuba in Richardson?

Thanks.

I have known the folks at Dive West for 5 or 6 years now. I have taken a couple of trips with them and like them a lot. I think they are an SSI shop. I'm pretty sure Crazy Scuba in Richardson used to be Aqua Adventures on Greenville.

Lone Star Scuba at LBJ and Preston is a good shop. Scubatoys on I-35 in Carrollton is a good shop. Not sure of their respective affiliations.

I've been in Crazy Scuba a few times. They guys there seem pretty decent but I have never done any training with them. However, the place is up for sale currently and the email they sent out said that training would cease on June 28th so you will have to go somewhere else or wait for a new owner and see if they remain SSI.

Dive west on Greenville is SSI and where I've taken my training. I would recommend them. Aqua Adventures on Greenville is no longer there.

We'll check Dive West, then... either that or just convert to PADI for AOW.
Thanks for the replies.

In shopping for gear (or even additional training) I would think that finding a shop representing the training agency from your OW training would be the last consideration.

... maybe I'm going about this incorrectly ... a different question, then ...
anyone have a suggestion for a good dive shop/instructor in or near North Dallas?
