I killed a Lionfish under Deerfield Pier

Hey, they release their sperm and eggs in the water every few days anyway. When you spear them, if that even is true (and I think it's urban legend), at least it is the LAST time they release them!!! And, of course, there has to be another lionfish nearby for the eggs to be fertilized...but you'll spear that one too, right?

they really only release them when a Female or male is by... that's what happened during there mating.... that's what my fish friend said...

Yes, one of my closest friends is a marine biologist and I asked him about this, it is absolutely, 100% untrue.

Debby, that sounds really freaking good. I just told my wife 2 days ago that I want chicken teriyaki over jasmine. I bet lionfish would be an excellent substitute for chicken.
