2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

very lazy day, I didn't exercise at all! hope to hit the trails tomorrow with the dogs for 5 miles.

RogueTrixie- I take my pups to the doggie park and then run:walk the inside perimiter. My bigger pup is 56lbs and there is just too much running for me to do to get him tired. At the dog park (and off leash) he easily laps me, which is good. End result is happy mom, tired pups!

It was the injection that knocked my equilibrium off kilter. Pain felt like he stuck the needle in my ear, through my throat to the other ear. Not fun. Then the steroids were running down the back of my mouth. yuk. I get to do this again on Thursday. Good news is that this is better than taking steroids by mouth, less side effects, and works quicker.

excellent idea walking around the dog park! I need to try that. Thanks! What kind of dogs do you have? I have a Shepherd mix, 2 Aussies and a Border Collie.

How are your ears feeling after the first shot?

Did a 3 mile hike at John Bryan State Park along the river on the Gorge Trails. It was a great way to unwind after the 8 hour class today. I love Daylight Savings Time!

What class did you take?

Went out for a very mellow 60 min dive down to 40ft on Monday. 5ft vis but calm water ;-)

Spend an hour pumping iron in the gym tonight, back/bi and a little abs.

Did you hike the upper or lower part. I was climbing at the green site there until 6PM tonight. Still pretty damp though. I love yellow springs and JBSP this time of the year.

I think it would be nice to live in the Yellow Springs & JBSP area. Just heard of a job opening in Springfield, so maybe that will pan out.

I'm teaching a 5 Day 40 hour electrical controls class in Springfield, OH this week. The company brings in their technicians from around the country and I do this for them periodically.

How are your ears feeling after the first shot?

I have a Springer that I swear is a cross between the energizer bunny, and octopus and a crackhead! LOL. The other is my half springer (avatar pic), she is a sweetheart. And right now I am fostering another springer. He is very mellow compared to Charlie (the energizer bunny).

Ear is better (only got a shot in the right), tinnitus is to a tolerable level. Another shot is planned for tomorrow...


On the exercise front, yoga last night. Wonderful. And tonight was Zumba. Wow! good workout!

Yikes that is quite a slush! Hope you had waterproof boots and goretex on ;-). My aunt lives in Yellow Springs and loves the city and street biking.



Today hit the gym but didn't make it to the weights or cardio. Instead, had the treat of joining a vetran rock climber for about 3 hours of crankin' on plastic. Maybe not the best move after working back/bi last night.

But was almost impressed when I top-roped-red-pointed a pink 5.11c, hard to be too impressed with plastic ;-). Starting to think about hatching plans of touching stone again & have a great weekend of fun diving lined up ;-).

Last year, I rode my Masi from the pump house in Springfield to the Ohio river in one day along the Little Miami River. I was really really worried about getting mugged in certain sections of Springfield when I was passing through. Maybe the bike trail took me through the wrong section of town, but Springfield looks pretty rough. Other than that, the 78 mile trip was GREAT.
