When I originally thought we had to walk to the pavillion, I forgot about the New Devil pavilion. The more I look at it, the more I become a fan of the Beaver area. The idea of nobody walking through camp is appealing as well as being away from a core of the noise.

I agree. Although, it does appear to be a longer trek to the restrooms.

I'd rather walk a mile than use a porta potty. LoL.

Not worried about the longer walk. Tis fine by me.
I like the idea of less people walking through our little party.

OK, just got back from Ginnie. The Beaver Landing area is now reserved for April 16-18. The walk from the footbridge is about the same to the showers as it is from the communal fire at the old site. I figure we can save the sites furthest to the left for the hardcore cavers since they have the most gear to lug to the water. As you enter BL, there is a split to the left and right. I will post the banner there and one near the footbridge facing the Devil System. That large area will be where I setup some kind of pavillion/megatarp and the communal fire. On the 16th, I plan to be there early as I will have the truck loaded and waiting the night before. Kathy said we can get a large grill delivered to us to use in the campsite. JAHJAH can see if we can still get the pavillion, but I don't have the funds to rent it for Saturday. As long as nobody reserves it, same as TR pavillion, if we get stuff dropped and a banner displayed, most people will stay out unless they know what we are. (Then they shoot at us!) I have a floating deposit in place now for megadives, so as soon as we lock in the October dates, we can roll this deposit over to cover that and guarantee our site for that date. October is looking like Halloween weekend, 29-31. If that is good for everyone, we can inform Kathy when I close out Sunday night.

Ken, how far up did Cathy say she'd reserve for us? I don't want us to be stuck in that tiny bit to the left...it's enough for several but if we get all the colleges to come up for a mega-Megadive/end of the semester dive, we'll need some room. I'll be up there this weekend potentially and if so, I'll try to stop by and see her.

I'll talk with the club here and see if we can rent the pavilion.

Whoo hoo!!! Megadive, here we come!

I love it when a plan comes together.
