that stinks about the bag of fish: I have had to tell out-of-town divers about the prohibition. While there is a sign on the west span, it is easy to miss. One does not intuitively know about the ban either since there are people fishing at the surface. I once saw a couple of guys from the midwest (either Illinois or Michigan: don't recall which) start to get spear guns out of their trunk and stopped to let them know that spearing was a no-no: they innocently did not know about the ban.
viz was much much better yesterday. I took my sister on a tour of the west span and fishing pier: her first dive, aside from the refresher course with Force-E a day earlier, in many years. She had done numerious beach dives in California in the past and was surprised at the proliferation of marine life at the bridge. I guess shore dives in CA have very limited viz much of the time.
