The Morrison Spring Cavern Project

Maybe there's some disconnect between the county commission office and Parks and Rec. However, I'm just relaying what I was told as there have been people out from Parks and Rec several times and they've obsurved divers in the water and other park visitors and have had no issues with the parks use.

Maybe they don't mind the park being used as long as it's not slam packed with people. I'm not sure. But I did get some great above water video of the park and hope to be back soon to get the underwater video.

WOW, Either way.... If there are classes using the spring..... then I'm going as soon as my schedule is open enough to get wet..... (YES I know how important that is )

Just got back home (P-Cola) from Jax and I swung by Morrison to have a look see.... Yeup... Still closed to us.... In fact they have cleared up ANY misunderstandings WE, Divers, might have had. It's like they are reading our posts.

We talk about parking in the lot and walking to the water.... Sign is up saying

We then talk about entering the spring from the boat ramp.....but there is a posted sign about NO DIVING... we interpret that to mean jumping in and swimming NOT scuba Diving... well there is a new sign on the Ramp and it says... NO DIVING!

They are plotting against us... :cool2:

Oh well I'll go back to my movie....

Its still talked about, just need to round up the right people and set a date when everyone and there brother isn't going to be there. This is definately something where more people will be more of a hinderance than a help.

Bugman is correct....Yoda and I talked about the Morrison project again while were diving last week. We are going to try and set a date for the project. It is still very much alive.
