I had to do 15+ minutes once holding a lobster in my hand. (For you Florida and California people, keep in mind our lobsters have CLAWS here in NJ!) Didn't bring my catch bag because I didn't plan on lobstering on this particular wreck, but lo and behold I found Mr 2-Pounder right there in plain sight.

Was hoping I'd run into someone on the line with a bag I could drop it in, but no such luck. So I just hung there, thinking about drawn butter.

:eyebrow:

PS - I've been known to come up with 1/2 dozen or so scallops stuffed into my drysuit pockets on occasion as well!

On a long stop I tend to catnap if there is nothing to see.. If there is something to see then I watch. One time I was on a 25 minute stop and saw a jack fighting with a stingray for a particular spot of sand for some reason.

how dyou nap and maintain buoyancy? tie yourself to the anchor line?

We used to have a steel bar on chain below the boat with "seat belts."

woah sweet!

i dive off bumboats and fishing boats with rickety rusty steel ladders that the locals welded together :depressed:

Once I was on stop off Lee Stocking Key in the Bahamas, on the way up I saw a lobster on the bottom and grabbed it. I prepared sushi for the team while we were on our stops, we all had a nice snack, but no tamari or wasabi.

light saber wars.
