Wow, I just typed the report from hell and my browser crapped out on me. Here it is, again, to the best of my recollection.

We had ehhhh vis again today, between 25 and 30 feet depending on which direction you looked. The top was flat calm though and it was a nice day to be out on the water. What the ocean lacked in clarity, it made up for with both variety and abundance. There was also a thermocline at about 100'. I clocked the temp at 67 degrees. The cold layer was flowing south, the warm (72) layer was moving north. Both were gentle.

Here's what we saw... Alex the captain saw a manta ray. It went right under the boat exactly when I was ready to jump in, camera in hand. I quickly powered it up and jumped in, but the ray eluded me. Down below, the other Alex (Alex B.) had a find of his own... a mola mola! I also missed out on the mola mola, but I think that everyone else got to see it, and one of our divers even got an awesome picture of it! I'm working on getting it posted so you guys can check it out. In the meantime, here are some pictures that I took.

Here is an honest picture of how the water was on the Castor.

H20 Skier plying the depths on the Castor. Mrs. H20 came out too, but I messed up her picture.

Incidentally, If anyone is ever diving with me and wants the pictures I took of them, email me with the date(s) of the trip and some means by which I can identify you in the pictures and I will reply with the full sized image.

Solensdotter came out today too!

loggerhead-1.jpg

We found a small loggerhead on the ledge on the second dive.

Alex B. captured a nice gag... 19 lbs.

This just in... with permission I present:

Hmm... Equipment issues and not real happy with my trim. Looks like 3 months dry were not good to me.
But, the good news is that the back held up (YAY!!!!), the diving was good, and fun was had, and I'm (finally) back in the water!
Thanks for a great Sunday morning, Kev & Alex! And, of course, thanks to H2OSkier + FairWaterDiver for the invite & ride. Good times!

We can see quite plainly in this photo, taken immediately after the above one, that your Overlording powers were operating at full tilt.

THAT'S JUST AWFUL :shakehead:

But pretty funny !! :rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:

Will be diving Boyton in 2 weeks, What are the must dive spots of Boyton? I have a map of all the well know spots from Jupiter to the keys. So if anyone could name a few of the Must Dive Spots?

The Castor and the entire Boynton Ledge reef system. If you are trained for it, the Hydro Atlantic is pretty cool too.

Hey thanks!

A quickie from today...

Seas were more rugged than I had anticipated with winds from the SW at 2-3', but they were certainly bearable. The vis was still kinda off at about 45' on Black Condo and about 35' on Lynn's. It was hazy blue water. The current started out mild north and got moderate and sometimes strong on the second drop. Water temps were 72 degrees, and no sign of the thermocline.

---opps---...everytime the BF comes to town I end up with post I didn't know about:idk:

Scuba Board has a bad habit of reverting. I log you out, log me on and it still comes up as you.--

I was making comments about the Mola Mola and a pun about Moola Moola but the timing has since passed for that joke.
