I can't believe anyone actually replied to this thread. That would've been sooo funny! I see I'm not the only one to notice...

orange_diver:
does anybody understand how genius it would have been had no one replied to the OP.

Genius? I guess that explains why it didn't happen, I thought it was obvious.

Since you have posted to this thread you are now subscribed to it. Look to the upper right quadrant of the screen where it says Quick Links in red. Click there and a drop down menu will give you various options of which one is Subscribed Threads.

Not necessarily, it depends on how you've set your preferences. I fixed my settings years ago not to have any subscribed threads.

Since I have no subscribed threads, I looked at all the threads in which I've posted in which the last post was November 11 or before, of the last 100, I was the last poster in 6% of them.

Looks like you win, Darlin'.

There... Killed the thread, AND... made the final post. You're off the hook!

Face it, you just don't have that killer instinct.

My turn! Now I've killed the thread.

Neither do you.

That would certainly have left me twisting in the wind. :D

Just like to hit and run, huh? Don't want any confirmed kills?

It's no wonder Catherine didn't want to post her number! Too embarrassed to be the current reigning Ultimate Thread Killer?

Didn't like all the e-mails I was getting (I can't imagine how much worse it is today, we had less than 500 members when I turned it off) and there's no point. I simply click on New Posts and see what's interesting.

4 out of the 105 I checked. Most were in the Pub though, where I partially lost the will to live - let alone continue conversations - fighting all the bozo's in there.

I turned off email notification, rather than Subscribed threads... that way I never miss a post I am interested in as I can always see it in my Control Panel. I don't have enough time to monitor the "New Posts" fully to ensure I don't miss any updates to really interesting threads.

Wow... I've never seen such competition... and all about who is going to kill this thread. I dare say there must be a time threshold to declare a "dead thread." Especially for those of you posting in the wee hours of the morning...

Ken

Threads don't really die, I've seen threads where the last post was years ago get brought back by someone trying to help the OP solve their problem.

Ken

The point of this thread is not to kill it but to see who is the Ultimate Thread Killer. Go back to the OP and then post your kill rate.

Sounds like some relationships I've seen!
