Thanks count in decline... what gives?

I just noticed my "thanks" count declined from what it was last night. Does that mean people are posting "no thanks" which are counted against me or did a moderator delete one or two of my posts? And if they did, why would a moderator delete my pearls of wisdom in the first place?
 
Hmm, I never noticed the button to remove thanks before...

Guess it could happen, though I don't think that would be too sporting of someone now would it?
 
Or possibly a thread where you were thanked got removed?
 
Maybe the software realized that they weren't the right age. :D
