doesnt look too far from shore. heard the captain tried to run it aground so it wont sink in deep water. wind and waves must have been really bad for most not to have made it. sulpicio really has a bad record with probably the most ships sunk among all Philippine shipping companies.:shakehead:

This is a tragedy of huge proportions......who the flock goes out to see in typhoon conditions? .....even in a signal 1? .....we use the MV VIRGIN MARY from MBRS sometimes and I won't get on it if the weather hints of rain. To throw fuel on the fire the government wants help from the US Navy.....a little late for that.

sulpicio has a horrendous record... i'm surprised they are still allowed to operate...

this is really sad...

and to be realistic with the ship that close to shore forget about it being a viable divesite in the intermediate future... it'll be salvaged for scrap metal so fast it'll be like it was never there...

hell... i can already see the vultures circling

seems so, but some of the survivors were noted for being out at sea in the life boats for over 24hrs...
i heard reports of survivors being found as far away as mindoro!

wow...

If you watch the local news channels, they are airing video of Phil Navy divers who are presently planning body recovery operations and the logistics of doing so......seems there more concerned for their own safety (well warranted) as the vessel seems quit unstable still....they have requested assistance from the US Navy for recovery operations to commence....
