I just saw on the news about the typhoon that overturned a ferry. Where was that? May God be with any survivors out there in the sea.
I talked to my daughter in Manila and she said it's brown out right now. I called my friend Boy in Iloilo, which I read looks like an ocean, and he doesn't answer. Anyone got any updates? I hope all is well down there.

My sis is in iloilo, she said its flooding everywhere... and electricity has been out since (Manila has a blackout almost the entire day yesterday).

btw, about the ferry that sunk... my heart goes out to them :( 700 were reported to be currently missing...

saw a lot of desperate relatives outside the sulpicio lines office in cebu pier this morning on my way to the office......what the hell were on their minds allowing the vessel to sail....my heart goes to the children.

Real sad... Seems they found 20 or so survivors that made it ashore on a life raft... Not looking good give how many people were on the ferry... This may go down as one of the worse maritime disasters for the country... Lot of questions as to why they even let the ferry go with the typhoon barreling down...

Yet another maritime disaster!!, it is appalling that the MV Princess of the Stars sailed and did not hede PCG, PAGASA warnings of the impending storm. When will they ever learn, Sulpicio lines should be held accountable for severe negligence. Our prayers go out to the family of the victims

Very sad...
From the news clips, the flooding looked really bad.
This is from newspapers Todayonline "Elsewhere in the Philippines,
close to 250 people are confirmed dead and 27 are missing
after the typhoon ravaged the central and southern Philippines, innundating the areas of Romblon, Cotabato, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo, a Red Cross official said yesterday."

so who among you are planning a dive trip (Search, Rescue , but more on Recovery) to the newest dive site in the visayas?

its off Sibuyan Island, Romblon.
