Man alive, didn't Spain just open a can of whipass on the Russians! That was a thing of beauty. And yes, the Dutch thumping of the Italians and cutting Buffon back to size was just as splendid.
Anyone playing the fantasy football on the official Euro 2008 page? I made a few good choices early on (luck more than skill) by choosing Podolski, Sneijder and Villa in my team. Schweet!
With the previous World Cup I remember commenting that the Dutch team is one to keep an eye out for. They've got a bunch of young players with lots of skill and a brilliant coach. Watch them closely in 2010. But I'll be honest that Spain slipped by unnoticed and they're probably just as good. That combo of Torres and Villa up front is sensational.
