I would suggest everyone dive nitrox and have a dive computer. I do have 95 steel's and even 85 steels (for the ladies) pumped with a little more pressure helps.

I'm not Nitrox certified yet (was going to try to do it in St. Thomas while getting my AOW last month but we didn't have time), but I'm sure I could handle the steel tanks with no problem.

I can make a trip this coming weekend (June 7-8) if anyone is interested, but I have plans for father's day weekend.

For those that don't know me, I've dove one of the ydt's with Capt. Gary, and I have my nitrox/deep dive/navigation classes behind me. Deepest depth is 92fsw, and I'm comfortable at depth. I'm new to diving (15 dives so far) but my buoyancy control is pretty good (if I do say so myself), however I'm slow to clear sometimes between 10-30 feet.

Nice to meet you Hetland. My son has trouble clearing also and sometimes doesn't make it down. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow to get some meds to clear his sinuses before our dive in two weeks. The doc gave him something to take predive to help with the problem a couple of years ago and it worked fine and he hasn't been having trouble lately and hadn't needed anything until Springfest and he wasn't able to make it down.

Nasonex seems to work well for me. It's a prescription nose spray. It has not cured me, but it has made things easier.

Thanks. I will talk to the doctor about it tomorrow. It is a shame. He is the one that got me into diving and I have no trouble at all. I just swallow and my ears clear.
