Do any other agencies have reps positing in official capacity on Scubaboard?

Who is the rep for:
NAUI? GUE? YMCA? LA County? SDI?

I guess there is an SSI Rep who has answered a few posts.

Well, PADI did get back to me pretty quickly, although they did not mention anything about his website, they did take the link to it down from theirs...

Hello Dennis,

Thank you for your email requesting the status of Eric Zwanenburg #99608 and Dive College Mexico #21007.

Both Eric and Dive College Mexico are in suspended status and are not able to offer nor conduct PADI programs and services. The link to Dive College Mexico on the PADI website has been corrected to reflect this status.

I hope this information helps answer your question. Should I be of any further assistance, please contact me here at PADI Americas.

Cheers,

Good morning,

I'm just enquiring about Eric Zwanenburg who was a Platinum PADI Course Director but supposedly has been suspended. He has a website here... Dive College Mexico, PADI IDC, Dive Master & Instructor Training, Scuba Internships, Instructor Development Course.
This link is also still on your website. Is this person or his shop really suspended and if so, why is he still advertising himself as part of your organization and why is his website still in your directory?

Thanks, Dennis

Excellent, Dennis. You got an answer from them. Congratulations and Thanks for the Post. I guess that just about wraps it up or..............

Hehe you guys need some help with
functions?

Good show on the Padi correction.

With all the putrid hatred of PADI here, I don't blame them for not being involved. Kinda like putting out the compost for the flies. I don't mind the objective criticism of some here against PADI, but if I were a PADI representative - this would not be a friendly forum for the poor guy/gal to deal with.

If that is there is excuse it is a pretty flimsy one. In addition to extremely horrible marketing. Fact is, their is a wealth opportunity here for them - they choose not to tap it. So if negative things get out of control then it is their own fault IMO. The net is not going away. Better to suck it up and take advantage then to cry and hide in your beer. Personally, I have much more respect for someone or entity, as the case may be, that can stand up for their methodology, as opposed to one that cowers.

Nah, I don't see that as an excuse. They are such a big organization and have been involved in enough lawsuit, it would be hard for me to understand why they will be stupid enough to dabble in some internet forum. They probably have to go through 3 layers of legal screening before one can type a reply to scubaboard members. They understand the industry and marketing better than 90% of us here.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

PADI answered quickly again. I asked about his website still being up and using PADI as a selling tool. He didn't elaborate on the "further actions" but that is between PADI and their lawyers.

Hello Dennis,

Thanks for your second email and questions regarding the website in question. The Dive College Mexico website is privately owned and we can not force the owner to take down their website.

However, once a member is either suspended, terminated or expelled we direct the member to remove all referenced to PADI from their website. This would include the use of the PADI Name, Logo, Courses and Services. Failure to do so would result in further actions on behalf of PADI.

Dennis, I hope this information helps answer your questions. Should I be of any further help, get back to me.

Cheers,

This was on both emails...
Any unauthorized copying, disclosure or distribution of the material in this email is strictly forbidden./QUOTE] but I did post these emails here because they contain no sensitive information. If there is a problem with posting them here I will ask for them to be taken down but I think it does show PADI in a positive light in this situation.
