If I were PADI, remember they have suspended him, I would definitely go after someone who was advertising he was still a Platinum CD. Why would they not do that? How long do you think it would take for let's say Microsoft to do something about a website saying they were an authorized reseller when they were not?

Dennis, if you were to go back and read my threads (don't bother, it's a waste of time) you would see that your point is what I've been saying the whole way through...what the s*** is PADI going to do about this?

Still waiting for a spokesperson from PADI to speak up....

Ok...so the internet is a giant communication system where anyone in the world can post anything they want if they buy space...

ummmmmm... never mind.... all powerful PADI should suck it up and get control the internet...my bad. Maybe they could enlist the inventor of the internet, Al Gore, to head up their internet police division and go after false advertising and get it taken down. Never mind the impossibilities of GIANT law enforcement agencies such as the FBI to rid the net of illegal material, PADI needs to get it together. :D

Exactly why I said they don't seem to care because any reputable company would do something about it.

No, read what I said. They suspended this person and you would think they would at least follow up and check his website to make sure he is no longer representing himself as an authorized PADI CD. :shakehead:

What is "...do something?" Unplug the ISP/host server in Mexico or Honduras, or the Caymans, or Russia or where ever it is?

Seriously what can PADI do besides send a letter/call and say take it down or we will sue you? What if he doesn't? Send the PADI police to Cancun to kick in doors and seize computers?

Even the biggest PADI hater here would probably agree that PADI has sent communication to take down/amend the website

It is the INTERNET. News flash...the net is FULL OF GARBAGE.

How about sending an email to the hosting company, telling them he is misrepresenting himself? Or maybe, the hosting company is getting a cut on the courses now that PADI is no longer getting theirs?

Exactly. They send in the Frogmen in the middle of the night and they pull the plug and liquidate the bad guy. Man, you're a Master Scuba Trainer. Didn't you do that on Adventures in Diving? Cheez with Rebreather technology the way it is now the target wouldn't see them coming!:rofl3:
