Air diva = someone who's oh so proud of their low SAC rate. They inevitably compare how much air they have left at the end of a dive with everyone else they dive with, apparently expecting applause.
Hehe, I hadn't heard that one, met some for sure.
Couple more:
SPG = Submersible Pressure Gauge
BT= Bottom Time/r
AI=Gas Integrated (computer)
DS=Drysuit
HID=High Intesity Discharge (dive light)
STA= Single Tank Adapter (used with many BP/W systems)
OOG=Out of Gas (vs out of air/OOA – to cover different breathing gasses)
RMV=Respiratory Minute Volume
RB= Rebreather but also Rock Bottom (in gas calculations)
EAD=Equivalent Air Depth
END=Equivalent Narcotic Depth
AGE=Arterial Gas Embolism
CAGE= Cerebral Arterial Gas Embolism
PFO=Patent Foramen Ovale
MOF=Mask of Forehead
VIZ=Visibility
SI or SIT = Surface Interval (time spent out of water between dives)
