I am thinking of going out to Tom Hughes park (Lake Travis) on Thursday afternoon.(Park closes at dark)

This is a great site. Depth is around 80 feet, lots of big overhangs.

The only "downside" is that it is a bit of a scramble down to the water .

Anybody want to come along?

Hey Ian,

I might be up for it. I am supposed to lead a Flower Garden's trip this weekend but we only have 1 diver going so I was told I could still go or if I didn't want to I didn't have to. Since I have been down so many times, I might not want to make the drive. I will let you know for sure tomorrow.

thanks

Layne

I could meet you if you are going at 3:30pm or later. If not, another time.

I know a easier way to get to the site than making the hike :tired:.......Unfortunately I am completing an Open Water course at Aquarena and won't be back until late in the afternoon

Tom Hughes was real nice today. Viz down by the overhangs was maybe 10 feet. Shallow it was just awesome, probably 30 feet. Nobody else in the park.

Old thread.... I know....

Ian,

What level does the lake need to be at for this park to be a good option? I've never been and never heard anyone talk about it as an option.

Chris
