your post was dripping with ridicule for people who err on the side of caution,

I would not speak out against anyone erring on the side of caution, I was frustrated that people were posting that your tank is going to explode and go through your skull.
I was speaking to that sort of fearmongering.

I posted 2 months ago about offering a get certified over the weekend class here in Miami for $199 and people JUMPED down my throat, saying how could anyone learn to dive in one weekend. I went out on a limb to offer this class at a price you cant find anywhere else to anyone on this board, and all I got was ridicule and the typical your just killing divers type crap. I love this board but some safety patrol nut jobs voice their crazy opinions a little too much here.
I am all for safety but to create unfounded fear about things doesn't benefit the forum in any way.

Yeah I know exactly whats inside my hoses, there is a steel mesh wiring but its extremely thin and is woven not solid unlike the thick solid metal of a tank.

Sorry if I ofended anyone, This is my last post on this topic. Sorry if I went off on a side note.

That didn't appear to me to be the impetus behind the OP or the subsequent discussion. However, people do tend to "dump" on others on the internet. When it gets too severe we hope that our users remember to use the

While it's OK to differ, it's never polite to "jump down" someone's throat or to retaliate for having it happen! There are a number of "anti-instructor" users on this forum who feel that if you don't teach THEIR way you are an imbecile. They will go to great lengths to tell you that they really aren't like that, and yet when you read their posts you certainly get that feeling. Sorry if you were a victim of the "anti" squad, but that is life. There are certainly good things we can learn from them, even if we take a number of their criticisms with a grain of salt.

It's a STRONG steel mesh which was designed to be flexible unlike that solid wall of a tank. Also, the ID is quite small, so the total aggregate pressure within an inch length of your hose is incredibly minuscule when compared to an inch of that aluminum or steel tank. I think you will find that the tensile strength is greater too, and that the mesh was designed to maximize that.

Don't go away! Learn how to be a little less abrasive! The forum NEEDS passionate people and without disagreements there would be no :sblogo:. I hope this helps! :D

Thanks NetDoc. You definately display exactly whats so good about forums.

Thanks for not banning me for getting a little loud,

I think I just still had a little anamosity from that previous event on here, and this isn't the the place to vent.

Keep up the great work

Keep up the great work
