So posting pictures of women in bathing suits is bad, emailing you pictures of naked women is good? :shakehead:
Uh, yep - big difference, don't you think...?

Not really ... either way they're just pictures.

Yeah especially if you think pictures of naked women are pornography.
Not at all, they're fine in my mailbox - not so here. Duh!

Rather than try to force a private owner of a site to run his site the way you want instead of allowing him the freedom to run his company as he sees fit. SB is a company and we are the customers. We will either decide to do business with them and come here and post and support the companies that place ads here or we will leave and vote with our time and $$ else where.

I dont know where you come up with this stuff! This is a place for feedback. Am I suppose to kiss NetDoc's arse and tell him his site is the shiznit?? I'm not forcing him to do anything.

SB is a business, a business that depends on the diving community for support. I am part of such community and as such I am providing my feedback which is the whole purpose of this part of the board.

I would like you to know that I really appreciate the spirited discussion in this thread! The advisors, moderators and all admins are reading this with piqued interest. After all, this is YOUR community and you should have a say in the direction we are going!

:sblogo: exists for YOU and not the other way around. So please feel free to express yourself and even disagree: but let's remain friends while doing so.

Remember, you can post anonymously, PM me or send an e-mail to support@ScubaBoard.com if you so desire. We sincerely want to hear from you!

That was a timely "step in" doc. Thanks!

I am not advocating posting pictures of naked women.

If a picture of a woman in a bikini is inappropriate then what is appropriate?
  • Shirt and shorts? (no, reveals leg)
  • Shirt and pants? (no, pants are not appropriate attire for women)
  • Blouse and skirt? (no, leg again)
  • Dress? (no, leg again)
  • Business suit? (no, still legs)
  • Pants suit? (no, no pants)
I've got it, Burkas! That's it. Problem solved. From now on any woman in a picture posted on the board must be wearing a full burka.

Absolutely could not agree more. I don't mind a spirited discussion, or debate. Heck, some of my favorite discussions are with people who have different views than me. As long as it does not get personal then we might all learn something from this.
