As I see it this is one of the biggest problems with Scubaboard.

Dont have an answer for it though!
If I may offer an opinion, first and foremost - make them feel welcome. Beyond that, when they encounter the know-it-alls and put-downs, they should able to state their experienced rebuttal. If, on the other hand, their egos are too accustomed to their being respected as authorities to bother with rebuttals, oh well...?

That said, I greatly appreciate those experienced divers who do bother to organize their thots and type them out here for us.

this is UNBELIEVABLE

i am back less than an hour and Teamcasa is already deleting my posts

this is why i didn't log on to ScubaBoard for eight months

maybe i should stay away eight more?

for Christ's sake

Seems unusual accounting method to count eight months from August 2007 to November 2007?

C, you are the best

which is all that counts

I find SCUBABOARD to be pretty easy to navigate, informative, and generally well-behaved. Thanks to all for all of that.

I have one suggestion. When I check my "new posts" it seems pretty easy to for it to forget which are new posts -- e.g. if I take too long writing a post, or if I mis-navigate, all of a sudden, when I finally do return to the "new posts" page it either says those search results are no longer available or it says no new posts, or something like that.

Is there any way to make it simply remember which ones I've read and which ones I haven't, regardless if my computer crashed or I log off or take hours to read all the new ones, or whatever? If I haven't read it, it shows up next time I ask for new posts?

thanks.

What about me *miss pouting*

I think we are going to be deleted for being off -topic.

i DID tell you i missed you =)

it's hard to say anything that doesn't sound combative, so i'll go to bed

El Orans: maybe letting people have fun without instant deletions might be a good idea
