You are right, with this type of shark you would not be able to blend into your surroundings; I'm just quoting what my dive instructor told us about swimming with a group of reef sharks and what to do when they start to get aggressive...

Now to change my post and really answer this question correctly and tactfully, I need to tell everyone what they should do and I learned it from a movie....

NOW LISTEN VERY CLOSELY BECAUSE THIS WILL SAVE YOU LIFE:

Swing around and carefully remove your BC while holding on to your buddy, then remove your tank from the BC, as the shark gets closer and opens his mouth toss this high pressure tank into his mouth. Remember to buddy share air off your parnters octo during this manuever. :eyebrow:

Wait for him to do a 360 degree turn and then pull out your spear gun and point it at the shark as he continues to chew on your tank; then as you pull the trigger remember to think in your mind since you cannot talk underwater; smile your son of a bit#$%... :rofl3:

Now this will only work if you are wearing an Aluminum 80 since this won't work with a HP steel.... :rofl3:

Okay I hope I made some of your laugh..... - You did

MG

Hopefully you

I think someones been watching to many 007 bond films ;)

I recall seeing Roy Schneider in a 1976 flic do a similar manuever in a movie based on a book written by Peter Benchley...I'm sure i don't have to tell you what the name of the book/film was, do I?! :eyebrow: Duh Dunt...Duh-Dunt...Duh-Dunt...:11:

A shark expert at SIO recommended that you pick a limb and stick in the sharks mouth. Once It tastes it it will probably leave as it will realize you are not a seal. I would recommend using your buddy's left arm. Unless he's left handed. Or quicker then you are.

I would pee, then fart a couple blue bubbles because Im guessing my stomach would do a turn over or 12 then accidently bump my dive buddy (the girl in that picture) closer to the shark and then accidently put my fins in her back and accidently shove her towards the shark to hope he accidently decided to chew on her allowing me enough time to accidently ascend like a rocket so I accidently broke the surface with such great force I landed on the boat. Once I safely landed Id yell, "IM A DAN MEMBER I MISSED MY SAFETY STOP, GET ME THE F OUTTA HERE!" followed by, "what dive buddy I was diving solo, I swear" Wives are expendable right? can always trade in for a younger model.

During my OW class, I was told that dive knifes were in case you ever found a shark bigger than you. Hamstring your buddy, and get out of there.

Overlooking the picture once again, I think the photographer should ask either diver to move just a tad to the side so he can get all three subjects equally in the picture.

Then once he devlops the print make sure you give a copy to the shark so he can show his grey/suit friends how friendly we really are.

Sounds like a plan right?

Maybe. The Puplisher told that it is a fake!?´Will you seen the lightpay on the

Omersub and that okto;or what ever it else is in the hand off the right diver, that

animals move like that when he change the corse. There is a old story from 2001

Just ask the shark if he's found Jesus as his personal savior, and if not, would he like to discuss it. I'm sure the shark would leave immediately. If that doesn't work you could ask him about his long distance carrier or would he be interested in some tupperware.

Show him your Bar association card- he'll go away.
