Question Scubapro s600 LP orifice swap?

Pulling down a SP s600 for service the other day I was astonished to find a nylon LP orifice… not a fan esp on a relatively high end regulator!
Anyone know if a G260 metal LP orifce can be substituted instead?
And don’t get me started on the plastic air barrel

I’ve seen the plastic orifice in all sorts; g250,260, s600s.. even in a 109BA (idk where it was retrofitted and where it was a factory decision)

I replaced both the orifice and the barrel to metal on my s600, got the barrel from a g500 parts bin and the orifice from a r190 (made more sense to have the nylon there so that the seat degrades slowly)

To my knowledge the g260 metal orifice will fit, the nylon one works fine though. I have always preferred the plastic barrel because it performs so much better but you can get direct replacement metal barrels from SP.
