I'm looking at Marelux's website, on the photos it looks like you don't have a button for C1 / AF-ON / AEL / Pressing the cursor?
C1 is a thumb trigger for the left hand, AF-ON is likewise a thumb trigger for the right hand, cursor is the OK button in the middle of arrows:

The right side has a pair of triggers between AF-ON and shutter release, one is video recording, the other is AEL:

The only finicky part of the marelux housing is the photo/video/s&q selector. It works, but sometimes takes me a couple tries to get it lined up right. It is a switch under a wheel, so it was always going to be complicated. Not sure how other companies dealt with it, or if it is any better or worse than the marelux.

The port lock make sense if you ignore the on/off markings. When it is down and snugged in, the port is locked. When it is sticking out it is unlocked. I never even noticed that it has an on/off marking. Actually just looked at mine, it says locked and unlocked.

On Seafrogs you can't even change that selector, they haven't bothered. But yeah I can imagine it's a tricky one to do.

Pretty much every manufacturer has been putting AF-ON function (back-button focus) on a thumb trigger for many years now. SeaFrogs have seemingly just figured it out with their Fujifilm X-H2 housing.
That makes sense. I guess it's much easier to make it the way seafrogs does, even if it's less convenient.

They have actually implemented it on the A7CII/A7CR housing, so it just took them a while.

It's crucial to operating back-button focus while holding on to tray handles. On my A6700, I hold the left tray handle and right side of the housing; this is less convenient than both tray handles, but allows me to operate BBF as well as all three control dials without moving my right hand.

Ikelite is a decent middle ground if you're like me and find it hard to justify spending $8-10K+ for a Nauticam housing and ports alone. Used them for almost 20 years now with no major issues and great support when needed. A bit clunky in places yes (mostly aesthetics), but battle tested and they just work. Trigger ergonomics have significantly improved with the extensions for the shutter and back button focus you can get on the current gen housings so they can be customized to sit nicely on your right thumb and index finger while holding the tray handle.

Not taking anything away from Nauticam, they're great. I'd love to be diving one, as it opens up many more port and wet lens options. I just don't feel the value per dollar is there for most non-pros when they're at least 2-3x the price of something like Ikelite, ports included.

Just as a point of note, AOI now has A7 IV and A7C II/R housings that are priced significantly below Ikelite and include built-in LED TTL flash triggers and vacuum systems.

Not as familiar with AOI, but the quality/design/materials looks very similar to Seafrogs. The main difference I noticed is that AOI housings are depth rated to only 45m while Seafrogs (and Ikelite) rate and test to 60m.

It's nice that they include the flash trigger and vacuum pump/port, since those things can easily run a few hundred dollars separately.

AOI housings for Olympus E-M10, E-M1 and OM-1 are very popular and have a dedicated following. As I far as I understand it, they're the ODM behind Olympus brand housings as well as the Fantasea brand.
