Hello all!

We were booked with Neal Watson's for a Tiger Beach trip but apparently they blew an engine and cancelled. I called everyone and they all said no dice but Epic Diving just reached out and said the can do a charter if there's interest. If you can make it, call/email them now!!

My wife and I were booked with Neal Watson's on Sun May 4th, but they cancelled that trip as well.
We are flying out on Sat May 10th, so we cannot go diving on Fri May 9th, are you able to go between Mon May 5th to Thurs May 8th? We have emailed Epic to see if they are available those days

Sorry to hear you lost your dive as well!

Epic Diving is booked on a private charter until the 9th so that is the only day available.

We are also flying out on the 10th so our plan was to skip diving on the 8th and since Tiger Beach is very shallow at 20ish feet, it shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you, sorry to hear about yours as well, really unfortunate

I reached out to Epic, and they said exactly that

How many people is Epic requiring to run the boat on Fri May 9th?
How many people do you/they have signed up on Fri May 9th?

They basically said the total cost for the day is $3900 so we would need 8 people to get the price down to what it would've been with Neal.

They said they would reach out to Neal and try to get some bookings but I haven't heard back yet.

We were given the same price, $3895
That is pricy for a day trip, I guess since Epic doesn't normally run day trips they are asking for the price of a private chartered boat for a day.

I wrote back saying we would be looking to join the boat you already talked to them about and if
the price would come down if 4 people went.
It would be nice if they got other people from Neal's cancelled trips to sign up with them , our dive day (Sun May 4) had the 6 required divers signed up.

I am also in talks with Reef Oasis dive center in the Viva Fortuna all inclusive resort hotel. There are 4 divers signed up for tiger beach day trip on Wed May 7th, this dive is running unless weather cancels it.
While I might prefer to go with Neal or Epic, it is an option.
You could sign up, go if it runs, and Epic could be the backup if it gets cancelled, this is our plan to be honest.
Here is there website, Diving Prices in Grand Bahama | Special Offers | Online Booking
The price goes down the more people that sign up, if you guys sign up that would bring the total divers to 6 which would bring the price down to $500 per person
Be aware that they require: All divers must do at least one regular dive before joining dives with sharks and having insurance that covers diving with sharks is obligatory for the Tiger Beach trip

Yes it's a lot of money for sure but if there's 8 people, it would work out to $487.50/person.

I also called Reef Oasis. They said they used Neal's boat for there trips. They were supposed to look into something else and call me back but they never called back. We would definitely be interested in going with them as we are staying at the Wyndham resort. I will try contacting them. Thanks for the info!

If we could get 8 people for Fri May 9th with Epic that would be ideal.

I didn't know Reef Oasis used Neal's boat, they did not mention that to me.

Reef Oasis doesn't take payment ahead of time for tiger beach, they take it on the spot if the dive happens. You could put your name down for that dive and monitor what is happening with Epic.

I don't know if I could not go on Wed with Reef Oasis if it's an option, because if I cancel Wed to go Fri and then Fri gets cancelled for whatever reason, I would kick myself.
