I know it's been a while since anyone has posted to this thread, but I am wondering if there are any planned cleanup dives in the St. Lucie, Marin, Palm Beach County areas in mid-July. We will be in the area for vacation and we'd love to participate in a cleanup dive. Our available dates are Monday, July 14 - Thursday, July 17. Thanks for any info you can share!

A couple of things are going on in July. Mola-Mola's and 100's of spawning muttons are migrating thru the WPB/Jupiter waters mid July. Viz is usually excellent and lookout into the sand flats for the best sightings. For cleanup, there is the invassive lionfish that destroy our reefs and July is a peak time to clean them up off the reefs. The PADI women's dive day is scheduled for July 19, 2025 if you happen to stay over. It's a big event on the participating boats and you will meet some life long friends there to plan future trips.

@KeepinItRealLKO You might not find anything in your window. A lot of times clean up and coral reef restoration dives are scheduled on weekends. Dixie divers has a Deerfield Beach Pier underwater cleanup every year on a June Saturday. Most of the reef work days I've seen in the Keys start on a Thursday or Friday with the main days are on the weekend. Many of the folks interested in doing cleanup dives are working Florida divers, thus the emphasis on a weekend dive.

That's what I was afraid of, based on my initial looks. My AOW certification is scheduled for the weekend of July 12-13 and we are driving back the following weekend; thus, the reason for the weekday availability.

Not within your window, but April 25th is the annual Reel it in for the Reefs cleanup dive.
