And have had any trouble keeping the hose in place such as in your waist belt. This video may be of help you. Of course YMMV.

I like this as a possible solution. Recently moved to getting use to a long hose setup but being 6'6 and using a 6ft long hose, have had difficulty getting it to stay stowed in my waistband.

At your height, your long hose should be at least 7ft. Is it wrapped around your neck?
If not, why even have 6 ft? You appear to be doing open water, not cave, diving. 4-5 feet should be plenty.

Oh no wrapped around your neck oh no!

This is the second time this video has been posted this week.

If the hose keeps coming out of your waist belt, it is because the waist band is too lose, which is the part of the harness on the entire system that holds the system in place, cinch it down! The shoulder webbing is “lose” fitting, waist is tight!

But you know, why bother when you’re trapping the long hose anyway 🤯

Hadn't explored much with it yet, just local lake diving to get use to it. It does wrap around the neck and I can tuck it in my waist, it likes to slide out easily though. 6ft hose because that was first recommended to me and I couldn't find any longer before trying it out. Open water only for a while, I much rather like the idea of long hose donate though and find it more comfortable. Diving PNW and local water reserves.

Kind of a no-mans land. 5 ft (maybe 5.5 ft for you) wraps around the torso well. 7 is long enough to tuck in a belt (and gives more distance after an air share calms down). 6 ft seems too short to tuck but too long not to tuck.

I used a 5 ft hose (6'2", 220 lb at the time) for recreational diving. After getting into technical diving a while back, I just use 7 ft everywhere so I don't have to swap hoses.

I might actually have a 7 foot, need to get a tape and measure again. Brain fart on inches to feet. I'm 6'6 and 280 but slimming down with the goal of 235. Hoping the drysuit still fits well that I don't need another. Lucky enough that its a snug fit atm with moderate undergarments, thicker will be wanted when skinny and cold anyways
