Did u find an answer to the 771 question ? I'm wondering what is the best Showa glove to use with the Santi smart system.

I use Showa 720s with the Santi smart glove system and they work great. You have to mount them slightly differently so that the inner lining isn't exposed to water, but they work great.

I use Showa 720s with the Kubi rings. Not easy to mount, I won't lie, but they're pretty robust once you get them on. @gregbenson314 makes a good point about keeping the inner lining away from water.

I suspect the 771s would be similar, since they're nitrile as well.

I'm curious how you mount the 720s? I found YouTube method by "Becky9". She refers to a person at Santi that showed her the technique. Are you by chance using this method? I just purchased a santi suit and the smart ring dry kit. I'm presently used to the zip seals with my DUI suit and have combined them with the Ultima ring system and the 720s, which I have had success using them in this situation. But my new Santi suit - I'll need to be learning a new method but ideally would like to use the 720s across the 2 suits.

FWIW, I've been using the "Santi method" on my Santi suit with 720s successfully for about a 100 dives with no issues. Eventually it did happen that one of the gloves was leaking slightly and I thought the leak was coming from the wrap-under shifting a bit out in one place. I switched to installing the gloves using the Becky9 method after that, but I would also be fine using the Santi method if I didn't happen to have access to a 3d printer.

If you get the Beck9 rings 3D printed, mounting those gloves becomes much much easier... :)

Ok. This clarifies for me there are 2 different methods. The one with the ring…need to find a buddy that has a printer.

I use the Santi method from the below video. One thing to note is that it's easier if you cut the end of the gloves flat, rather than the wave pattern.

A common thing I've heard that some people struggle with this way, although for me I haven't found it (personally).

Plan to try both ways. Found a buddy that can print those rings for me. Do I need all 3 rings? I’m referring to her UK webpage link to the files that shows a picture of 3 similar but different rings.

Alas, I must wait….my ds order is just getting into the system today.
