Florida Keys, Advanced Open Water Training

NAUI Open Water certified in September. Planning a trip to the Florida Keys in February and would like to do Advanced Open Water --- either NAUI or PADI --- while I am there. Any experience/suggestions with dive shops and instructors is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Choosing the right instructor is much more important than choosing the dive center (or certifying agency).

I would call around and speak to some instructors. Ask questions. Ask how long they’ve been diving? How long instructing? Ask about their primary interests in diving? Are they into photography? Tech? Etc? Ask them about their personal goals in diving?

Find the instructor that best suits you as an individual.

Conch Republic Divers, Tavernier key. great staff, excellent instructors, either one on one or small group. we will be diving with them January thru march. retirement is a good thing!,

My wife and I plan a dive vacation in the Keys in 2025. Start in Key Largo and travel south. Before Rainbow Reef assimilated Ocean Divers, we dove with Ocean Divers and took students there. Can you identify what at Rainbow Reef is not acceptable to you. Thanks to you and the OP for this thread.
