Does the Peregrine even end up on a nice sale? Black Friday maybe?Shearwater Tern if you need a watch form, Peregrine if you decide you don't. Available new for $650 and $550 respectively
I recently upgraded to the MK3I. There are way too many features, but it's a super solid multi-activity computer. You could also go for a Garmin Descent G1 - though you should check whether the screen is readable enough for you.
The Descent Mk1/2 is also a solid watch option, but you pay more for AI and since it has more features they're harder to find at the lower price point you're looking for.
The G1 was less popular, but if it matches your needs, there are some on ebay right now.
Occasionally, but pretty infrequently. IIRC, there was a bit of a sale on them earlier this year. Naturally, well after I had already purchased Peregrine TXs for my daughters.Does the Peregrine even end up on a nice sale? Black Friday maybe?
Agreed. I was looking pretty closely at the G1 when they first came out. I ended up getting the MK2s with a discount that brought it down close enough to the G1 regular pricing. That was back in mid 2022. Since then, I've been wearing it daily and have used on every dive I've done. Solid computer and a very nice backup to my Perdix.I recently upgraded to the MK3I.
