I didn't intend to imply that the attack meant it was unsafe to dive in the Egyptian Red Sea. I did look at a map, and that's why I stated that the attack was at the southern end of the region. My post was solely meant to inform. Apologies.

You gotta think in positive terms, more wrecks to dive in the future :p

I’m 6’5” pasty white and barely speak English (also don’t know any other language) I’m not going anywhere near a volatile area involving terrorists who by their very nature are asymeitrical In tactics. this isn’t “crime” in its normal forms where the perps want to survive at any cost.

ya’ll can go where you want and do what you want but don’t whine to the rest of us if your boat is hit with a rocket or assaulted on open water.

its one thing to go into a situation toting weapons with government sanction and sat comes And quite another to go look at fish and coral in an unpredicable war zone.

Fine. But the context gives a bias to that information. And "the region" is ending approx 1.200 km North of these events...

Would be lovely, but to far away for one week trips....
[...] unpredicable war zone.
The dive shores between Sharm and Marsa Alam are not an unpredicable war zone. But fine, your decision is your decision.

if someone can predict when the stuff hits the fan they would do well in a Las Vegas show.

I am now fearing the crusades coming into the discussion....

Now that you mention it, Americans should not be ANYWHERE near Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia!!!! They all had or have wars. South/Latin America is spotty at best.

I just measured the distance between Yemen and Marsa Alam, almost 1700km and the distance between Kyiv and Berlin is about 1200Km. Americans should really stay at home.
