Does anyone know if there is any difference in computer operation between Personal Offsets and Altitude settings in the Zoop.

Looking at the instruction manual, the reductions for similar depths are the same! Some double talk from Suunto??

Not sure I can help with your Suunto question, but I have a semi-related one: is there any way to set current altitude in an Oceanic VT3 (could it detect it automatically?)? I have been through the manual multiple times and can't find where/how to set it.

What do you mean by operation?
Changing either the personal and or altitude settings changes the NDL at various depths, page 54 in the Zoop User Guide shows this.

Page 149 in the VT3 manual explains it pretty well. Yes, the VT3 automatically detects ambient pressure
