That one almost belongs in the book of I glue the locks of my car shut to make it harder to steal

Oh no! I am not recycling a $0.05 part that holds my air supply to my mouth!
Yeah what a great idea

you might notice this fellow is also flaming the end of his line to permanently lock in his knot. And it too, has no sharp edges…

I usually melt the end of the cable tie after cutting it. It makes sure there are no sharp edges.
Yeah i think this is a pretty good idea~ i've used a nail file instead too, to avoid being the victim of a really bad lip cut :(

I used to assemble industrial racks full of electronic equipment (lots of cable management) and literally everyone used a very specific set of cutters for zip ties that will actually cut them flush. A lot of snips out there might call themselves flush cuts but have a bevelled edge. This was very necessary when you're building a rack that's packed tightly, because if any of the ties are cut at an angle you'll pull out your arm covered in bloody scratches.

Somehow, nobody mentioned flush cutters for the tie. They don't leave a sharp edge behind. The cheap ones don't last but good ones are not expensive. (For some reason I don't seem to be able to post the link. Klein Tools makes one that's available on Amazon for $12.)
I keep an old keychain sized Swiss Army Knife in my toolkit for this (and other) purposes. The little scissors are super sharp and great for zip ties.
