Here are some pictures from a video I shot with my new GOPRO camera I found the weekend before diving Table Rock Lake. The video was to big to load, so only some pictures.

The other Zeb, the big one on the left. I do know where the Zeb in your picture is sitting at right now though.

Next time we dive it I am going to see if I can find a name on it.

Great pic! The General and the Zeb together! However, I swear, maybe it was Rapture of the Deep, that I saw Zebulon Pike on the bow of the wreck in Indian Point inlet.

The Zebulon Pike currently, as of a couple weeks ago, is at the Bass Pro Marina just past the bridge. I was told it will be hauled soon and restored for cruising around with Bass Pro corporate guests and VIPs. Not sure. But, supposedly a semi truck size trailer has been procured for the hauling. I was told this by the marina manager.

Interesting. Well, let's start it all up again - I'm drawn to the history of this boat.

Here's a link to a facebook page. The Grandson of the guy who built the Zeb had been thinking about moving it back up North (Milwauki) and restoring it.

The Original name was the Hannah Kildahl and that it what is apparently at Bass Pro now. What's under the water is the mooring boat we believe was called "The General".

Anyway, love to hear about this boat.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago, bought fuel for the Whaler at the dock there right across from the Zeb. The marina manager who is a BP employee told me the owner (CEO?) of BP bought the Zeb. He said a trailer was being constructed to haul it for repairs and that 1.5 million dollars had been set for the restoration with completion for next season. Of course, we shall see.

this wreck is really on my hit list either for this next year or winter depending on what viz is like during the winter months. so My question is this what will viz be like on table rock during the next few months?

I'm going to try a video and get a good hard looksee what this wreck is all about. Are their any other photos underwater out their or video?

Interesting.

The wreck can be penetrated. In the photo posted by Dweller you can see a telephone pole. About where that pole is there is a hole or passage into the interior space. It looked like an engine area but I have no idea if there was an engine ever in there. There alos appeared to be some shaft like pieces laying bent in the hold. From there a right takes you up to an area that looks like a bar. I think there was a piece of a mirror if I recall and a bar and an open area of some size. I think if you go right again--into the light--you see a stairway that takes you to the upper deck where a fake smoke stack still resides. There is plenty of rusty, sharp metal everywhere. There is, last I was there, some sort of obstruction which may have been a piece of interior paneling fallen down in the bar area. The interior will silt up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is dark, cold and easy to get turned around. Fortunately the wreck is probably not large enough to get lost in but disoriented, yes. Use extreme caution inside the wreck. I ran my spool the first time I went in. Since then I have not and have followed my original route. I generally solo this site, less chance of silt and I like the solitude and "scariness" of the dim, eerie green glow from the sun overhead barely illuminating the rusting hull. I have had upwards of 30 feet viz and as little as none .

Tie up to the stump with the white bottle, follow the stump down and then follow the line to the wreck, go left along the port side, that should bring you to the opening I described earlier. I have, when I was a TR newbie and being a saltwater boater, reluctant to tie my proud Whaler to a stump, I set anchor on the wreck and gone down my rode. But, what the hell, just tie to the stump I guess.

I took a video about 27 minutes long, it is to big to load to youtube so here are some more still shots from that video.
The vis a couple of weeks ago was the best I have ever seen on this dive, I think we are going back this weekend to dive it again & I will shoot some shorter video & see if I can upload it then.
