Yeah I currently carry ALOT of weight with my Jacket Oceanic BC so if I can significantly go down on weight would be a huge benefit.

You will NOT significantly go down on total weight. You really moving the weight from lead to the backplate, about 5lb or so if you choose SS.

The total weight might will be slightly less, because lack of padding in bp/w, which usually contributes to positive buoyancy, maybe about 3-4lb. Another reason not to have padding on bp/w.
