I probably got lucky, but Captain Gene had items in stock when I needed it, and seemed to have a better inventory than the average LDS. Aside from the close proximity, I suspect he has an inside track on Zeagle inventory.

How long ago was that?

I'm interested when the back orders will be resolved. Waiting on Express Tech, hope it's here before my trip in end of June. It's 2 months so should be OK but it's not looking too optimistic.

Ok maybe someone can fill me in as I have been out of the loop for a while but what happend between pinacle and Zeagle? Someone stated it was a disaster?????

The quality of the dowry resulted in an annulment of the marriage.

Now THAT was a great line!

No not for you.

At my end I have to order it way before I think it will sell, and I have increased my minimums. In better economic times a manager used to keep one to show and one to go and order as needed so we could stay wide with our product mix and feature a lot of different brands.

A dive shop can become very gun shy about placing speculative orders based on what a great year next year is going to be. Some years the economy just sucks. Like last year and this year and maybe next year.

It has to be much much worse for a manufacturer trying to forcast how many widgets they are going to sell year after next.

If You get the purchasing decisions wrong, your money is tied up in inventory that you can't turn over. Eventually all bad buys sell at low margin or even a loss.
