I got the YS 90 in the mail today. Problem (might not be a problem) is that it fires in AUTO2 and AUTO1 mode.... Says I should use auto2 when the cam pre flashes... just curious why its firing the right time (second flash from cam) on both settings? The pre flash and the main flash are about 3/4" apart from each other, I put the fiber optic sensor in front of the main flash....
Here is my sensor placement:

Other question: In manual mode, I have it on ASA 100, what Fstop on the flash should I be using? Haven't looked up how to check it in elph manual yet. Is it trial and error??
Naive question #105 : Aiming the strobe? Do I just attempt to aim the strobe at the subject, or keep it at a fixed angle... be a PIA to move it back and forth from when I'm doing close up stuff versus farther away.....
Thanks!
Mike
