..Hey there …a really nice setup Nemrod. It all looks in fantastic shape. I still gotta dissect my Waterlung SeaVue gauge. I will most likely just replace it with another ScubaPro gauge that I have. No matter how vintage, leaky HP gauges and hoses still a P I T A.

Great to finally meet you in person.
Don’t be afraid to e-mail or text. I will respond.

Hello Scott. Are not SeaVue gauges supposed to fill with water? I thought it a feature :eyebrow:!

Another The first single hose reg

Well mine was not filling with water but was actually leaking air from the hose/gauge fitting, and quite a bit. James 79 spotted it the first time and we tried to correct in the water at the edge of the spring….no avail. I got out and Eben Brown and others were able to get it stopped at the picnic table. Back into into the spring. A few minutes later I checked my gauge and leaking air much worse. I said 🤬, swam around solo for about 10+/- minutes and exited the spring area. I got a lot of feed back from others at Allan’s a couple of days later. Most have ‘pin-hole’ hoses ( I know ) but this model gauge was a larger hole HP hose. I will most likely retire the SeaVue and install newer gauge. Luis, I believe rebuilt the regulator for Rob. I bought from Rob and I just modified and made it into an O/W setup…which was not really necessary. If you have anymore info please pass it my way. I am STILL Learning about this equipment.

My first regulator was a Healthways Scuba double hose regulator, and I have one that still works. You can see it below on a twin tank system. The Scuba Star regulator was my first single hose regulator; I have both versions, the upstream and the downstream valve second stages.

I also have a set of Duck Feet fins that still works well, and are probably older than many divers today. The U.S. Divers Company Professional Fins are probably from the same era, a competitor to the Duck Feet fins.

My Champion Deluxe mask by U.S. Divers Company is dated back into the 1960s, and still works too. It is in the middle row, second from the right in my collection of masks.

For those who think these old regulators are dangerous, breathe hard, and should not be dived, I have one regulator in my collection that no “modern” regulator can beat, the Scubapro Pilot regulator. And yes, it still works. I had to go through it, and replace several O-rings, and learn more about it. This unique regulator is mainly sealed with O-rings, and does work on the pilot valve principle. You need to be careful in setting it up, as it has a Venturi that can be set too high for comfort.
