It's been a good year (and I just realized the seahorse shot is 2010, but I don't know how to delete without deleting them all, sorry!)

Wow, Nick, the moray eating the octopus was certainly a case of being in the right place at the right time! Love the shrimp on the nudi, too.

Beertiki, lovely black and whites of the Vandenberg -- it IS the Vandenberg, right? Wrecks seem to do really well in B&W or sepia -- maybe they create a more mysterious mood.

Keep 'em coming, I'm really enjoying this!

Rob,

The Nautilus shot was taken in Palau.

There is like an extra $40 dollar surcharge on the first dive of the day. If more than 6 people were agreeable on the nautilus encounter and additional charges, the dive operator (in this case Sam's Tours) would set it up the night before. They are brought up in traps from 300 foot depths the night before. They are released over blue water so they can return directly to the depths. It is the only way to see Nautilus in the wild as their normal depths are beyond that of recreational scuba.

Strangely, seems it is not a very popular option and getting the minimum number of divers is relatively rare. I guess for most $40 is more than they are willing to pay to see a nautilus. Also, I guess you don't see anything else the rest of the dive.

I figured that I might as well throw up a few shots from this morning. Might be my last dive of the year!

You can't tell me that purple spotted frogfish-thing is real! That's straight out of some kid's Saturday morning cartoon show!

Ron, that last nudi shot is absolutely splendid. Good old Redondo!
