Well, you wouldn't want to drink most of our beers warm either. Besides, what could be more civilized than refrigeration? ;)

I have to admit, warm, flat beer in England is really good. Warm of course being room temperature, which in England is kind of cold........

Our only saving grace over here is the plethora of good micro-brews we are getting. Just about every medium to larger sized town has at least one now and most of them are quite good.

I know this from many firsthand experiences. :)

Back on topic, the older i get, the bigger WWW i become. Cold water temperatures i used to eat with a spoon aren't so fun anymore.

I really notice it in the warmer water 75-80F. Used to make two or three 60 minute dives a day, in a 3 mil shorty or less, and never get cold. Now i'm shivering in a full 3 mil, halfway through the second dive if i don't put more mil on. I'm not liking it much.

It sounds like you're really SOL. Do you EVER get 75F water in Michigan besides in your bathtub? I spent a lot of time there (Crystal Lake, Torch Lake up near Traverse City) as a kid and getting in the water was torture.

you have no idea what the meaning of the word "Thermocline" is.

which BTW: is A layer in a large body of water, such as a lake, that sharply separates regions differing in temperature, so that the temperature gradient across the layer is abrupt.

You take a cold shower after the dive to cool off.

Like going from 85 to 78?
