When you build a new bathroom in your basement and make it larger just to dry your scuba stuff...

-When you spent the money your parents gave you for new furniture on diving (and your diving father totally agrees that a tv is not necessary anyways) And said father goes out to buy you a drying rack for your gear to hang in small apartment, because it is essential :)

-When your main friends are twice your age, but it's ok because they are divers

-When you have taken up jogging not because you care about your weight, but because you want to get your SAC better then your buddy

When your favorite movies used to be action packed and featured a lot of explosions, and now you don't care to watch them, but instead watch a documentary on the Mariana trench exploration and wish that you could dive to 30k plus feet!

You pass up the opportunity to have a hearing implant that would restore lost hearing permanently because afterwards you won't be able to dive past 30 feet with it.

When you see this headline and think. "I wish I had one of them underwater homes!"

the White House announced a new initiative to help “underwater” homeowners

When you refuse holiday destination advice from your peers because that location doesn't have any interesting diving.

ie, Las Vegas

We have the bomber, PBY Catalina, a Cessna, structures left over from the Dam construction, plenty of sunken boats, probably some mobsters, and amazing geologic formations.

That's when you're a diver, you'll defend your ole dive whole from impugning remarks.:D

It took me some effort to get the gf to comprehend that, if diving is not available, it is NOT a vacation.

When some dude asks you out and before replying to his invitation your first, second and third questions to him are:

1). Are you a certified diver?
2). How often do you dive?
3). What types of environments do you dive?

:D
