I would have to guess it would be the Free Diving death post. That lady who tried to go down to 500 something feet and died in the process.

I say this because several people were pissed at my viewpoint and also when I check your link to 'My Books' I see a Free Divers book so without checking the thread over again..I would have to say that you were apart of that conversation.

I was pretty critical on that thread and I do remember not joking around either.

I bet that was it.

Actually I think it was before that. That one did re-enforce my opinion. You've clearly had little tragedy in your own life, short of maybe choking on a silver spoon.

Personally I think a good solid a** kicking would do you good.

I bow to you in your effort to serve the community. I remember our Fire Dept. having to do a body recovery after it was above and below 14 to 18 tides. That translates to ...in the water...in the sun ...back and forth at nearly 12 hours a stretch for a week.
We pulled the body out of the swamp on a backboard and proceeded to throw away our gloves and find a way to get the smell out of our noses. The county ME asked that the body be moved to a body bag. Having already thrown out our gloves we were forced to go at if bare handed. As soon as we tried to reposition the body, parts (aka soft tissue) that is the skin and muscle and body cavity parts started to fall off and slime everything.
Ok Group Barf...Almost every man in the group threw up. Author included.
I hope I will never have to do anything remotely like that again. In your new position you will do a hell of alot more recovery than rescue... It is a shame it can't be the other way around.
All the power to you.

The above story takes place on Timber Creek in Deptford ,N.J. about 1980 or 1981.

YOU let this thread get way out of hand, offensive to damn near anyone, and now you get mad at me for calling a spade a spade? That's BS bro and you know it.

I'll check in tomorrow and see where this has gone.

Ahhh but PUG, this thread is entittled Dark and Morbid Humor
and this is better humor than what the thread started out as.

it is always fun watching people dual, yet still respect the others who are reading this board.

swing away boys, lets have a nice clean fight, nbo dirty punches or low blows.

I personaly think Wreckwriter may have a point, and sometimes that point just needs to be ....pointed out

Wow, you really got me stumped. I have had a pretty uneventful life, as far as death goes. A close friend of mine died suddenly a couple months back, but thats been about it. I am in for a rude awakening unless its me to go next.

Wait, I might have it...this one comes to mind, but it was deleted by a regulator.

Northeastwrecks and I got into it about the Peter Hughes accident off of Belize...it was obvious I was in T-ball and he was in the majors on that one. I think he is a lawyer..well anyway I made some BS statement like people only settle in court when they know there wrong and people just jumped all over me. Well, anyway..after going back and forth with him and after finding out he was a lawyer I said something like......if a lawyer is out of air at 100 feet, do you share air with him or not?

Yeah, I crossed a line on that one, not in sarcasm..but some people get all rauled up over something soo obviously rude and unthoughtful. It was done in poor taste..I know, but geez....ofcourse im gonna share air with the guy..only after he signs 5 waivers...lolol
