I agree with O-Ring. However, just one small request. PICS PICS PICS...

get one of those small disposable underwater cameras to stuff in your BCD.....take the pics and I'll pay for the delivery of the camera. Please, only dead people pics...dont take any disgusting nude pics.

Okay so it was sick humor. . . but I laughed so hard I nearly cried.

Yes, the turn to the Dark Side was good.:)

I'm still trying to picture what O-ring would do with a St. Bernard

take a course from DiveRescueInternational... at the end you will be *treated* to a whole slide show of dead bodies... dead diver bodies... a less than subtile reminder that the victim recovered could be you.

Who changed the subject line... I guess I never intended for this to become a 'dark and morbid humor' post.

Was actually expecting to get some good insight from all the knowledgeable and experienced divers here.

Oh well...

This thread went WAY off track. I gotta admit, I'm damn near shocked.

What you're doing is great. Its something most of us could not bring ourselves to do, certainly not more than once. I commend you for it.

I also caution you. Be careful. The training you'll get is likely to be inadaquate (sp). Its highly unlikely that you'll be trained in overhead environments, in deep diving, or in anything beyond search and recovery in shallow water. Be very careful.

Tom
