Ice is a different story. If someone fell through ice and you have to get them, you cant get to the hole on top in full gear. Its a team effort and most likely you have to swim under to the hole.MNScuba once bubbled...

If Fido were frozen, he would ride a lot nicer than he would all soggy and squishy...probably not that different than slinging a 40 (for a smaller breed) or an 80 (for a larger pooch)..You guys don't have anything in your freezers that you should let the authorities know about do you?

Couple ideas...if you get them while they are still soggy and squishy, you may be able to stuff them into your drysuit pocket. If not, I think you are on the right track...for the really small ones (chihuahua, etc.) belt mount them like a 6cf bottle...anything larger (poodle, lhasa apso, whatever) you may have to mount them on your tanks like you would carry a 13cf bottle.Spectre once bubbled...
What if we're talking about one of those punt dogs... Do you go ahead and back mount 'em, or rig 'em to your BP like an argon bottle?

The only other way to deal with them would be to remove your BP, pound them flat with a rock, and slide them up in your MC pack. Leave their tail hanging out so you can deploy them at the surface..
I never thought about it either until jepuskar got me started on the dead dog thread..my apologies to the SPCA.. Oh well, it isn't the first time my bad sense of humor has gotten me in trouble. I suppose I should gag most of the posting that isn't directly diving related and try to read more than I speakMNScuba once bubbled...
Who changed the subject line... I guess I never intended for this to become a 'dark and morbid humor' post.
Was actually expecting to get some good insight from all the knowledgeable and experienced divers here.
Oh well...
