I enjoy old chrome regulators. It has double exhaust valves. How does this perform wet? Easier? I have old stuff I’d like to compare to. Scubapro 156, g250, old pilot, Air1, D 300 and newer regulators. I dive in my pool because it is really close.

Your Pacer is a great regulator. It compares very favorably to the Scubapro 158 and g250. It won't be up to the standards of the Scubapro Pilot (no regulator even comes close to the Pilot). The AIR-1 has a huge exhaust, and so it won't match that either. I don't have experience with the D300, although I think the Pacer ELB may do better than the D300, as it has a smaller exhaust. I have this regulator, and regularly use it with my Dacor Nautilus.

I followed a link from Kupu and found a kit in Canada. The seat is actually molded into the poppet.

I would punch out a seat for that and glue it in for sure and punch in valve seats without the glue

This is actually a very nice, easy-breathing second stage. You'll enjoy it in the water. Exhalation, with those large, duel mushroom valves, is very easy. And, it won't free-flow more than a few seconds because of the design in the mouthpiece.

I don't understand the motivation for this project? Why not invest the money into a more modern regulator? You plan on diving with the refurbished regulator?

Some of us do crap because, wellll, WE CAN!
