X-Shorts: Do They Block Relief Valve Access?

so, i'm looking at buying a fusion-sport and some x-shorts. of course, i will be installing a si-tech balanced relief valve, too. my question: do x-shorts (or equivalents) block access to your valve? and is this a problem? i assume you could cut a hole in them to allow easy ON/OFF turning, but has anybody tried this before? thanks.

come to think of it, do you even need to manipulate your relief valve while diving? i'm talking about the si-tech valve specifically.

I think the Si-Tech does rotate, but the OMS still does not, AFAIK.

I'm going to install the OMS OMS Drysuit Accessories: Pee Valves, Gloves, Pockets & Gaiters http://www.OMSdive.com into a Fusion Sport, but I'm planning to only install through the inner liner, not through the outer lycra. That should simplify the installation and allow the liner to move relative to the lycra. That mounting might also lessen any interference with your X-shorts by keeping the pee valve under the lycra. Just an idea.

I used x-shorts for a bit, but I don't dive with the bolt in my p-valve (would be a problem if it ever failed, but I haven't had that issue so far). If you have it set up so it's ready to use, you won't have to manipulate it during the dive.

thanks. what do you mean the "bolt" in your relief valve? if i understand correctly, i just leave the valve in the open position for the whole dive (not just when i'm ... releasing?)
