I ordered the Wurkkos lights (x3) and love them. Wish I had one with the laser to point out items to other divers, but the laser one was released just about the time I purchased my third light.

i bought the one with the laser and if you dont dive in clear and dark water its mostly just a gimmick.

you can point out everything with a normal light way better

Good to know saved me some money and my wife does not have to fear me pointing the laser at everything moving, lol.

Hi Riccardo, nice to meet you. I'm so happy to hear the DL10R and DL06 working well on Italy. I wanna trap the precious holiday opportunity. And I can feel you definitely the one of best tester. ; )
Hi everybody... I revive a bit the thread with my brief review of the DL03 I received few months ago, and that I finally have been able to use in late August, in the Maldives.
I already used some Wurkkos torches: a DL10R and a DL06, which I like a lot, the DL03 seems to be well crafted: as the others I just mentioned it gives a good feeling of a solid and refined product.
As most of the diving torches out of the water it looks very powerful, it has this green laser spot which can be used on its own or together with the main light. The main switch has three positions: laser, Beam, and Laser+Beam; in the middle of the switch there is a button, which turns it ON and OFF and triggers three different intensities of the beam. My bad: I never read the manual, so initially I missed the three beam levels... :) but it took very little to realize how it works.
In the water... the beam is nice and narrower than the other two torches we brought on holidays, so when visibility is limited the back scatter effect is less pronounced.
In term of power the specs talks.. 2800 LM for the DL03, 4500 for the 10R, 15000 for the DL06... difficult to judge in absolute terms, but in relative I'd say all makes sense... between the DL03 and the DL06 there is a BIG difference when lighting a big overhang.
Considering its dimensions the beam of the DL03 is quite good though, and better than many other torches around the diving group.

Laser... it's there, it works, I tried it... would I invest money on it... maybe not...
when pointing something at night it is easy to be seen, in daylight, or in not so dark conditions, it is easier to see the fish you are pointing than the pointer :) and even more so if using laser + beam at the same time. Said tyhis.. it is a nice to have, why not...

Main switch... never had an issue in the 20 dives and couple of night snorkeling, but I still prefer a magnetic ring switch like the one on the DL10R and DL06; on all of them I'm missing a mechanical OFF on the switch, to avoid turning it on accidentally, but I find the DL03 a bit weaker in this respect: pushing a button accidentally is easier than rotating a coaxial ring IMHO.

Runtime... difficult to say, no issues at all doing three dives a day with occasional usag, no issues in 1h+ night snorkeling always ON, but I did not monitor the effective runtime leaving it on until empty.

So... overall I like the DL03, for the price it is a very good torch, best compromise between my three Wurkkos is the DL10R though, i like it a lot, and when I need LIGHT i Like a lot the DL06. I'm basically happy to use all of them.

Ciao!
Rick

As an active diver in the Cooper River in South Carolina, where visibility is nearly zero due to heavy tannins, I rely on high-output lighting to locate Megalodon teeth and navigate safely. My current setup includes two lights mounted to my helmet and one on a hand mount, so reliability and ease of use are critical.

I’ve been using the Wurkkos DL02 as one of my lights and appreciate its brightness and value. Like the others, I think the switch is prone to accidental activation. I’ve had the light turn on unintentionally in my gear bag during transport, leading to drained batteries before the dive even begins. That said, the switch is conveniently accessible when helmet-mounted, which is a plus for that scenario.

One feature I’d love to see is integrated USB-C charging directly in the battery. Most of my gear now charges via USB-C, and managing a separate cradle just for this light adds unnecessary complexity to my dive prep.

I chose the DL02 because Wurkkos offers good performance at a competitive price, and I’d be excited to test and provide feedback on future models.
