WTF no sim card slot on the new iPhone 14

Have they looked at what its second hand value will be if you can't change the SIM.

eSim is not permanent, it is relatively easy to change providers and simple to delete the eSim from the phone. One limitation with eSim is that you do need a Wi-Fi network to activate.

Also eSIM allows multiple SIMs to be swapped within preferences and secures each SIM profile through the device. Rather than having two, you could have up to eight.

I did a data only eSim while I was in MX last month. I have a physical sim in my iPhone 13. Easy to do and I just deleted it when I left.

I don't see it as an issue. I upgraded last year though, so this year will probably only see a new Watch for me.

Take a trip up North. The Canadian iPhone 14 will have the sim tray.

The overseas providers that market to travelers will probably catch up within the next year or two. So I think the advice of getting a used 13 and holding out for a couple of years is probably the best advice.

But you should be used to this by now, Apple has always used their market dominance to push things their way before the market itself is ready like getting rid of the headphone jack. You had a year or two of confusion and now everyone uses Bluetooth or an adapter.
